I have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University, a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from Barry University, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from University of Florida. I completed my doctoral practicum and dissertation with a focus on couples therapy.
I have administered countless hours of behavioral health counseling, diagnostic interviews, and case management services as a licensed psychotherapist since 1992. Working in various settings over the years, helping those with severe medical problems, mental health issues, as well as, significant social issues has been a privilege. Establishing partnerships with many community agencies to fulfill my job responsibilities helped me create a solid professional reputation.
Prior to establishing my own private practice, I have worked both for an inpatient psychiatric hospital and an outpatient healthcare center. One of my major accomplishments involved creating a program that integrated behavioral health into primary (medical) care for the entire outpatient Broward Health system. Throughout my career, I have given lectures and workshops to other professionals, clients and the general public at various South Florida hospitals, agencies and other professional organizations.
